Do you ever get tired of your own thoughts? The static of words inside our heads is endless. I imagine the inside of my skull like an old building that has been splattered with graffiti over and over again to the point of barely making out any one clear picture or complete thought. Whether we are in the whirlwind of our own making or caught up in a war of words, we need to quiet the noise somehow. The last thing we need are more words. That is the moment that Jesus sits very close, very still and silently until we can learn to listen.
